I knew this bike would look good. I wanted the magenta (pink! It’s okay to call it pink!) because I liked the contrast between the bright color and the black of the exposed carbon. The only other color that really had that was the gold, and I just wasn’t feeling that one. I have a thing for pink anyway. Once I started assembling it, I really liked the black carbon of the Chorus groupset against the pink, but when I got the wheels, I was blown away. I had been waffling a bit about whether to use tan sidewalls or not, but oh no. The all-black is just so sick. It reminds me of how my old 996 SPS looked with the black wheels against the red body. Very serious and no-nonsense, F1-ish almost.
